We are excited to announce that Emily Richter will be joining the Woodland Fire Department as our Fire Marshal beginning September 4, 2018. Emily comes to us from the City of Roseville Fire Department where she specialized in working collaboratively with developers and engineers to usher in new construction projects while serving as a Fire and Environmental Safety Inspector for the past five years.  She received her BS in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Washington and a Masters of Public Health from Loma Linda University.  Emily is a certified Fire Inspector and Plans Examiner through the California State Fire Marshal. Her analytical skills as well as her understanding of public health issues, hazardous materials, and disaster planning will add depth to our prevention staff and our department.  She will begin as Fire Marshal on September 4th, 2018 with a swearing in ceremony scheduled for 4:30 that afternoon in Council Chambers, all are welcome to attend. Please join us in welcoming Fire Marshal Richter to the City of Woodland.
