Yolo County receives approval to move deeper into Stage 2

On May 20, the County received approval from the California Department of Public Health, allowing the Yolo County Public Health Officer and Board of Supervisors to consider expanded Stage 2 business reopening including destination retail (retail stores) and dine-in restaurants, as now permitted by the State.

Now that the County Board of Supervisors has received approval that Yolo County has met the readiness criteria outlined by the State, they will consider these modifications to the County’s Shelter In Place order at their next meeting on Tuesday, May 26. Please stay tuned for the results of this meeting.

Until further notice from Yolo County, restaurants and non-essential retailers in Yolo County are not yet permitted to re-open for dine-in/in-store service.  In the meantime, local restaurants, eating establishments and retailers are encouraged to begin preparing for future re-opening by reviewing the guidance issued by the State for Dine-In Restaurants located here: https://covid19.ca.gov/roadmap-counties/  and for Retailers located here: https://covid19.ca.gov/pdf/guidance-retail.pdf.
Outdoor Dining

** Expanded Outdoor Dining

The City is currently working on a Temporary Outdoor Dining Application and Permit to support local restaurants looking for additional space to seat customers while adhering to social distancing requirements.  Details will be available next week and we will notify our businesses community as soon as the application is released.

Mayor Rich Lansburgh says, “Whatever you do this holiday weekend, we trust you will continue to be diligent in your efforts to help stop the spread of the virus as well as participate in restoring our local economy.”

This Memorial Day weekend join us in remembering those who fought to defend our freedoms and also celebrate those who are making sacrifices on the front lines today.
