For the month of August, the committee will be on recess and there will not be a meeting.

The SAC meetings are open to the public and meets every third Wednesday of the month at the Woodland Community & Senior Center. To view upcoming meeting agendas and past meeting minutes, click here.

FREE Kitchen Food Scrap Pails are Coming Soon

Waste Management (WM) and EnviroWoodland will be hosting two FREE kitchen food scrap pail drive-thru giveaways this September at the Woodland Community and Senior Center at 2001 East St, Woodland.

Keep an eye on your mailbox for the newest WM brochure that will contain a voucher for one free food scrap pail that can be redeemed at one of the following events:

Saturday, September 17 from 8 am – noon
Wednesday, September 21 from 3 pm - 7 pm

Pails are on a first come, first serve basis, available while supplies last. Voucher and proof of Woodland residency is required.

Tire Amnesty Event This Saturday

This Saturday is the annual Tire Amnesty event hosted by the Yolo County Central Landfill. Yolo County residents may drop off up to nine tires per load for FREE on August 6, 2022, at 9:30 am - 2 pm for recycling.

Join Us at the C10 Intervention

We are excited to announce we’ll be at the C10 Intervention Truck Show on Sunday, September 4th to provide all Woodlanders with the opportunity to pick up the tools and knowledge they need to recycle oil responsibly. We’ll be sharing information about local Certified Collection Centers and Curbside Oil Recycling in addition to giving away FREE oil rags, funnels, and oil mats during the event.

Donate a Bench for the Woodland Regional Park Preserve

Secure a lasting legacy with a commemorative bench at the Woodland Regional Park Preserve.

Honor a loved one or memorialize an event with a $2,500 bench donation. This gift will include the procurement of a dedicated bench made from recycled plastic, installation along the nature trail, and a personalized engraved plaque. Donors will receive a receipt for their tax deductible donation.

Labor Day Reminder

City offices and Waste Management services will be closed Monday, September 5 for Labor Day. Waste Management services will be delayed by one day the remainder of the week.
