Day Without Water Image

Imagine a Day With(out) Water

Imagine a Day With(out) Water is dedicated to raise awareness and educate others about the value of water. During the drought, its important to conserve water where we can and use it efficiently. Here are three things you can do to conserve water this fall:

  • As temperatures drop, our landscape doesn't need as much water. Remember to reduce your run times and not to irrigate more than 3 days per week.
  • Rinse fruits and vegetables in a bowl of water instead of letting the water run down the drain. The water collected can later be used to water plants around the home.
  • Use WaterSense labeled products when changing out your water devices such as toilets and showerheads. WaterSense labeled products are certified to be at least 20 percent more efficient without sacrificing performance.
