Sports Park Drive Bike & Pedestrian Overcrossing
The City understands that this is a highly anticipated project and is working hard to encourage our contractor to complete the work. We anticipate that the path and bridge will open to the public in early October with the contractor remaining on site for a month or two to finalize the project.
Pioneer Avenue & Farmers Central Road – New Signal
The developer’s contractor is currently working to widen Farmers Central Road. This widening and restriping must be complete before the new traffic signal at Farmers Central and Pioneer can be turned on. We anticipate that the contractor will complete this work and have the signal in operation by the end of the calendar year.
Harry Lorenzo Avenue & Gibson Road – New Signal:
The four curb ramps at the intersection have been completed, creating a continuous path to and from school for pedestrians and students. The traffic signal poles are in place. Currently, the contractor is focused on removing a portion of the existing median and converting it into a turn lane.
Spring Lake Parks
Jack Slaven
The park opened to the public on September 22.
Rick Gonzales
Active construction at Rick Gonzales Sr. Park is complete and the park will soon enter its maintenance period. We anticipate the successful completion of the plant maintenance period in December.
Spring Lake
Spring Lake Park is still under active construction. Concrete work, including all pathways, is nearly complete. Remaining work includes completion of the sports court, the play area, path lighting, and associated electrical work. We anticipate the successful completion of the plant maintenance period this winter.
