Organics Cart First

Remember to Use Your Cart First

Leaf Drop Season has ended, which means green waste street pile pickups return to monthly collection. This weekend’s storm left a lot of debris around town, but there’s good news! Your organics cart is picked up weekly and can be pulled around the yard with you for convenient storm cleanup of fallen leaves or small branches. Remember to chop down any long branches so they fit inside the bin with the lid closed. If you find yourself filling up your organics cart on a regular basis, you can order a second organics cart for FREE from WM at 530-662-8748.

Make sure to check the Collection Calendar at CityofWoodland.org/WasteWizard to view your personalized waste schedule.

Arbor Day

Arbor Day Celebration

Join the City of Woodland and Woodland Tree Foundation’s tree planting fun at Crawford Park on March 2, 2024 at 8:30 am in celebration of Arbor Day! Volunteers will be guided by staff and tree experts to help plant trees throughout the park. It is also a wonderful opportunity to meet community members and ask for advice from our experts.

Volunteers can also pick up free compost at the event. which can be used around your trees or in your garden to add valuable nutrients to help your plants and trees thrive. Compost will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis, while supplies last and weather permitting. The Arbor Day tree planting will continue rain or shine. Find out more about Arbor Day here.
