Water-Wise Landscape Tour

Water-Wise Landscape Tour is on May 11

Come learn how various neighbors have filled their yards with beautiful California natives, and other water-wise plants.

Place: City Hall - 300 First St.

Time: 8:00 am - 8:30 am Pollinator Presentation

          8:30 am - 12:00 pm Plant Sale & Self-Guided Tour

Meet us at City Hall at 8:00 am to view a presentation on the importance of pollinators in a water-wise garden from the Yolo Master Gardeners. Afterwards pick up some water-wise plants sold by Woodland High School (cash and checks only), and explore beautiful, low-water landscapes on a free self-guided tour in the surrounding neighborhood until 12 pm.

Car Show Event

Woodland Street Cruisers Car Show

Join us on May 18th for the Woodland Street Cruisers Car Show in Downtown Woodland starting at 9 am! EnviroWoodland will be in Heritage Plaza alongside Fumoto giving away free oil change valves and oil kits to Woodland residents, as well as other information about recycling used oil in Woodland until around 12:30 pm.

Bulky Waste Vouchers Coming Soon

Keep an eye on your mailbox! In late May, you'll find your exclusive bulky waste voucher, granting you a hassle-free disposal of an entire load of bulky items — at the Yolo County Landfill! From mattresses and TVs to furniture and appliances, we've got you covered. This voucher is valid until the year's end, so don't miss out.

Got furniture or household goods still in great shape? Consider donating them to the Big Blue Barn Thrift store at the Yolo County Landfill. Ask a scale house attendant while at the landfill for details on where to donate.

Sustainability Advisory Committee News

The committee will be holding their next meeting on May 15 at 6pm. The SAC meetings are open to the public and meets at the Woodland Community & Senior Center. To view upcoming meetings, agendas and past meeting minutes, click here. 

Upcoming Holiday Reminders

City offices will be closed on Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day.

Waste Management services will not be effected.
