2025 Heritage Home and Historic Preservation Awards Ceremony Scheduled for Thursday, October 2

The City of Woodland Planning Commission will hold a ceremony for the 2025 Heritage Home and Historic Preservation Awards on Thursday, October 2 at 6:30 PM in the City Council Chambers at 300 First Street. The event is free to all residents and any other interested parties. 

Woodland is known throughout California for its architecturally significant homes and districts. The City has been recognizing community members for preservation and restoration efforts since 1982. Today, the Heritage Home Awards and Historic Preservation Awards pay tribute to the homes and buildings that form the historic fabric of Woodland, as well as the caretakers of these architectural treasures.

Our 2025 recipients all represent valuable examples of thoughtful restoration efforts. The awards ceremony will include presentations of photographs and a brief history of each building. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the City will provide a reception in the Edible Learning Garden on the corner of First and Court outside of City Hall.
