Learn about plans for a new transit center in Downtown Woodland (Court Street @ 2nd Street) on Tuesday, January 28 from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
The City of Woodland, in partnership with Yolo Transportation District (YoloTD) and the Woodland Chamber of Commerce, will host a “popup” event to showcase how a new transit center would look and operate in Downtown Woodland. Yolobus and BeeLine vehicles will be parked at the proposed location (Court Street @ 2nd Street) and YoloTD staff will be available to share information, answer questions, and seek feedback from attendees.
If approved and funded, the new transit center will replace the outdated transit center at the County Fair Mall. This new transit center will provide a direct, one-seat ride from Downtown Woodland to key destinations, including UC Davis, Sacramento International Airport, and Downtown Sacramento, and reroute bus lines to better serve Downtown businesses and residents. The project would also include infrastructure improvements – street and sidewalk upgrades, additional lighting, and crosswalk beacons – to enhance rider, pedestrian, and bicyclist safety.
