Abandoned / Inoperative Motor Vehicles

The City of Woodland has developed a proactive program for addressing inoperable vehicle violations.

The Woodland Police Department handles all complaints regarding vehicles parked on public streets.

To report a vehicle, please use the myWoodland Citizen Problem Reporter page (https://www.cityofwoodland.gov/475/myWoodland-Citizen-Problem-Reporter)-your report will be directed to our parking staff. You may also call our Traffic Division directly at  (530) 661-7867 to report a Traffic issue.

Please note: Code Compliance DOES NOT respond to complaints about vehicles on public streets.

The basic rule is that all inoperable Motor Vehicles must not be visible from public right-of-way or private property. This means if the vehicle is Inoperable as defined in Section 9.04.020 of the City of Woodland Municipal Code it must either be in a state of restoration, not to exceed thirty days or relocated so no longer visible to the public. Inoperable motor vehicles guidelines are outlined in Section 9.04.030 (10) - City of Woodland Municipal Code.

Please review the Code Compliance Administrative Policy (PDF) or Report a problem.
