2. REBATE DETAILS

   Availability Status: Available

   The City of Woodland Water Conservation Program will be offering a $150 rebate for weather-based irrigation controllers (WBICs) this fiscal year. The rebates are offered to city residential and commercial water customers.

4. ELIGIBILITY

   💧  WBIC or Hose Timers must be purchased between July 1, 2025 and June 30, 2026 to be eligible. 

   💧 Applicant must be the property owner or tenant with an active City of Woodland utility account.

   💧 Only WBICs and hose timers that have an EPA WaterSense Label or been tested by the Irrigation Association’s Smart Water Application Technologies (SWAT) protocol are eligible for rebates. Links to lists of eligible controllers can be found at www.cityofwoodland.org/rebates.  We strongly recommend that you hire a landscape contractor certified by the Irrigation Association (IA), California Landscape Contractors Association (CLCA), and/or an EPA WaterSense program partner to install your WBIC. 

   💧 Applicants may choose to purchase a hose timer in lieu of WBIC. Please note that rebates for hose timers are subject to the discretion of City of Woodland staff.

    💧 Funding for rebates is first-come, first-serve and is not guaranteed. Please check funds before submitting your application.

    💧 There is a limit of one rebate per utility account.

    💧 The level of rebate is the purchase price plus tax or up to $150, whichever is less. Delivery or installation fees are not included.

    💧 The level of rebate for each smart irrigation device is the purchase price or rebate amount of $75 each for up two smart hose timers or $150 for one weather based irrigation controller, whichever is less.

    💧 Applications must be received within 90 days of purchase. Applicant must submit a copy of the sales receipt(s).

    💧 Applicants must submit photo(s) or their installed WBIC or hose timers.

    💧 Units are subject to inspection for program compliance. Failure to comply may forfeit rebate.

40. AUTHORIZATION*

    1. City of Woodland will randomly select customers for a post-installation verification. By submitting this application you are agreeing to a post-installation verification of the WBIC.
    2. Applicant must authorize submitted photos to become City of Woodland property.
    3. Applicant must agree that the City of Woodland may use historical and future water usage data for statistical purposes.
