  2. Special Event Request – Fire Department Participation

    This request is for a special event that involves the participation of the Woodland Fire Department. Depending on availability, your event may be attended by personnel from the Community Risk Reduction Division, Fire Department staff, or an on-duty engine crew.

    Please note that participation is subject to emergency response needs. In the event of an emergency, fire personnel may be delayed, required to cancel their attendance, or may need to leave the event at any time.

    Woodland Fire personnel spend hundreds of hours each year going to schools, speaking to community groups and attending special events to promote fire and life safety. Keeping our community safe is our top priority. We are dedicated to ensuring every resident is safe at home, at work, and at school.

    Woodland Fire can provide you, your class, or your business with safety information. Participation at a community event, school or during a station tour is our opportunity to interact with you.

    If your school or organization would like to have Woodland Fire attend your event or to request a Station Tour and you are within the City of Woodland limits, choose the correct option below and complete the form.

    As there is a demand for our resources please note the following when requesting Woodland Fire attendance:

    • Requests must be submitted at least 30 days in advance
    • Firefighters are 'in service' and are limited to 2 hours or less
    • Firefighter attendance can be no earlier than 10:00 AM to allow for shift changes, apparatus and gear checks
    • Ensure adequate space to accommodate a fire engine to safely park and space to depart in the event of an emergency
    • Woodland Fire is does not host birthday parties or do birthday drive-by events.
