The City of Woodland has adopted a Weed Abatement Ordinance (Woodland Municipal Code Ch. 9.44), requiring the removal of dry vegetation, weeds, rubbish, and other fire hazards by May 27th.
The Community Risk Reduction Division of the Woodland Fire Department conducts Weed Abatement inspection(s) to ensure all dry vegetation, weeds, rubbish and other fire hazards have been removed from your property in accordance with the City's Weed Abatement Ordinance.
If your property is not in compliance by May 27th, the City has the authority to contract abatement services for the violations at the property owner's expense. This may include administrative fines, citations, costs and expenses, and may become a lien or special assessment upon the property.
The Woodland Fire Department would like to thank you for your continued support and commitment to fire prevention. Your diligence in maintaining your property for the safety of your family and your community is recognized and appreciated.
