The Woodland Fire Department is committed to responding swiftly and effectively to all fire-related incidents. Certain types of incident responses, where legally permitted, are subject to fees based on the resources required to handle the situation. These fees are applied per hour or part thereof by unit, with a minimum charge of one hour. After the first hour, billing is done in 15-minute increments.
Incident response fees may include, but are not limited to, the following situations: mitigation of hazardous materials, false alarms due to failure to notify when working on or testing a fire alarm system, trouble alarms caused by failure to notify during system work or testing, and three or more false alarms within a calendar year. Additional personnel required beyond the normal response team are billed at hourly rates.
These fees help ensure that we can continue providing prompt and professional service while maintaining public safety standards in the community.
**Rates will be adjusted to coincide with FEMA's fee schedule.
