The Water Pollution Control Facility (WPCF) headworks pumps and the grit system have been analyzed by the WPCF Master Plan. The headworks pumps consist of four large screw pumps depth and the Master Plan recommends converting at least one of the pumps to a submersible pump system. The project will replace one of the screw pumps with two submersible pumps. The WPCF grit system is reaching the end of its useful life and several of the components along with some piping is needing replacement. The project will replace the grit classifiers, pumps, and blowers and will replace deteriorated pipe sections.
