Project Description:
CIP 25-01 is the tenth instance of a multi-year project where Engineering and Operations staff annually identify locations around the City that have the greatest occurrence of water main and water lateral breaks and leaks, and prioritize these locations for repair and replacement. The areas identified for the 2026 project are N. Cleveland Street between Beamer Street & Frost Drive, Beamer Street between Frost Drive & N. Walnut Street, Frost Drive, Fiske Avenue, Marin Place, & Inyo Place. The existing water infrastructure in this area ranges between 59 and 71 years old. Approximately 5,400 feet of this deficient back-of-walk water distribution network will be eliminated with the 2026 Project.
Other improvements are needed to address breaks and deficiencies in the accompanying sewer collection system. The exact scope of sewer work will be developed as design progresses, but sewers in the area range between 70 and 97 years old.
