Comcast has notified the City of its intent to expand its high-speed network and suite of services throughout the community.
Phase: Construction beginning in early 2026 in the southwest area of town.
The City must allow public utility and telecommunications providers like Comcast to perform work in the public right-of-way because of state and federal guidelines. Specifically, these rules are meant to make sure everyone has access to modern communication services. City staff ensures that all work is safe, follows local rules, and that streets and sidewalks are restored properly once work is complete.
Comcast is legally responsible for this expanded utility network.
